Electromarítima is an engineering company founded in 1980, specializing in the sales, installation, repair and inspection of marine, industrial and communications equipment.
It originated as a result of a partnership between two engineers who shared a dream: to establish a business that would provide electronic solutions to ships entering our harbor.
Those two engineers were Carlos A. Lualdi and Juan G. Silva Retamoso, both experts in the field.
Little by little and as a result of their joint efforts, the business began to grow, and technical and management staff was hired in order to fulfill daily demands.
At present, we represent and are endorsed by great Japanese, Norwegian, American, and Korean companies.
We are recognized by International Classification Societies such as ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), Bureau Veritas (France), Det Norske Veritas (Norway), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (Russia), RINA (Italy), ClassNK (Japan), Germanisher Lloyds (Germany), Lloyd´s Register (England), and MCA (England.)
We are the first and only company in Uruguay to obtain the ISO 9001:2008 Management System Certification, which demonstrates our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of our services and ensure customer satisfaction.
We have high-precision instruments, suited for higher level repairs and adjustments, which undergo annual calibration, as prescribed and required by the Classification Societies that endorse us.
We provide our services throughout the MERCOSUR: in harbors in Uruguay (Montevideo, Nueva Palmira, Fray Bentos, La Paloma, Punta del Este, to name a few); in Argentina (Buenos Aires, La Plata, Puerto Madryn, Comodoro Rivadavia); in Chile (Punta Arenas, Talcahuano); in Brazil (Rio Grande and Itajai).
